Jesus Christ persisted to the end; he completed his mission of coming to die to save the world. Persisting is not an easy task because it requires determination.
The question is, “are we persisting till the end of our race as Christians here on earth?”
Remember that Jesus was fully God and fully man yet he was able to accomplish his mission on earth. If only we can apply the principles that made Jesus fight a good fight, so that he could say on the cross that it is finished, our lives as Christians will be improved.
One principle that helped Jesus persist to the end is that:
He did not think only about himself; he was concerned about the wellbeing of others. That is why he came to die for us.
As Christians we need to be concerned about the welfare of others.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Sometimes it is saddening the number of people who show up when a call to evangelism is made. People make all sorts of excuses to avoid going on evangelism, forgetting about the unsaved out there.
We must learn to live our lives for other people. We must learn to sacrifice and at the end, we will receive a crown of Glory.
