Making a Loss

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Philippians 3:5-8

Some of us have been blinded by the pleasures of this world so much that we boast in the positions and possessions we have acquired. Some also boast about some contributions they have made towards building their churches.

It is good to give an offering, pay your tithe or be part of a committee or department in a church but if you put your hope on only these things, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

You may build a big house with many rooms but you will sleep in just one room. Even in that room it is on one bed that you will sleep on and in one corner that your bed will be positioned. Beloved, the things of this world bring us no benefits.

In the verse above Paul counted everything as loss; the deceit, the friendship, the power, the freedom etc.

Whatever you may acquire on this earth, you will not take it along when you die so seek first the kingdom of God and all other things will be added unto you.

Be Saved Today

If you are reading this except and you have not received Jesus as your savior, kindly say this short prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I am a sinner and cannot save myself.
I believe that you died for my sins and rose again.
Cleanse me with your blood and become the Lord over my life.
Thank you for your forgiveness, Amen
