Every farmer expects a good harvest and therefore does all the necessary things- watering, prunning, etc.- in order to have a good yield.
God expects the same from us as His children. We are to bear good fruits so that we can give a good account when He returns.
In Isaiah chapter 5, the Bible tells us of a farmer who tilled the land, planted a very choice vine and also built a watch tower but at the end of the day he had bad produce.
Just like it is written in Isaiah chapter 5 if we yield bad fruits, God will take his hedge of protection away.
If we decide to live our lives the way we desire and God decides to take his protection away, we will be exposed to the troubles in this world.
If do not bear fruit or live a holy life, God (the vineyard owner) will take away the hedges that are around us.
Let us therefore focus on Christ the finisher and perfecter of our faith to help us fulfill our purpose here on earth.
